Quilted and Bound

 I don't know if I should call this Wonderland 3 or Tube Quilt.

Both names are accurate.

This is the quilting pattern I have been working on.  I seem to be a little more consistent each time I try it.

I haven't washed this one yet because once I do it will crinkle up and the quilting won't be as visible.  The batting is 80/20 cotton poly and the size is 41x41.  When it is washed it will shrink up a little and be a bit smaller.

More Wonderland!

 I have had a"Wonderland" collection honey bun in my fabric stash for a couple of years. I didn't really have any idea what to do with it until I saw this tutorial. quiltingtutorials.com/all/summer-park-honey-buns/.  I immediately ordered a jelly roll of brown Bella Moda so I could make this quilt.  I thought this would be perfect for a baby boy because of the brown but Banner informs me that there is too much pink in it for a boy quilt.  So again, unintentionally I have made another girl quilt top.

This measures 42 x 42 and was so easy and quick to make. The only difficult part was matching up all the seams from block to block.  I love how this turned out and the Wonderland collection by Momo is one of my all time favorites.

I'm Back!

Wow, I haven't blogged for about a month.  I actually enjoyed my little rest.  I have still been fairly busy, just not with quilts.  I did well at the county fair. Of the five items that I entered I received five blue ribbons and a best of division.  My neice Morgan was here with her two little girls last week also my oldest daughter Whitney.  They made headbands and also bags from an Amy Butler pattern that Whitney has.  This is Banner's bag, she cut it out all herself.  She's fourteen so she didn't realize that the flowers were going to be sideways when the bag was finished.  I love it anyway.  Morgan, Whitney and I did the pinning and sewing and as many of you will recognize, the fabric is Wonderland by Momo.  Banner was so excited to have this cute accessory for the first day of school.  Funny, but our model for the picture is Tennyson, she made a bag also, pictures to come later.

This is a pattern by Abby Lane called "Glad All Over".

I used Moda's Wonderland collection.

I love the bright colors and the ric rac.

This fabric is called Rabbit Hole Sugar, it is my favorite.

I quilted it in a meandering pattern.  The quilt measures 60 x 72 and the backing is yellow broadcloth.
