The Clear Starch Alternative!

A few weeks ago, my sister Anne Adele called from her home in Illinois.  She wanted to know if I used any special product to press my quilt tops.  I told her that I use "Mary Ellen's Best Press".   I found it at Quilts Etc. in Sandy, Utah back in March, I have used it ever since.  It is a little pricey but worth it to keep my quilt tops looking their best.

I was visiting in Salt Lake City for a couple of days this week.  While I was there, Whitney and I made a trip to Quilts Etc. in Sandy.  Little did I know that this cute fabric was there waiting for me to buy it.

We found all but the first two fabrics on the left in 

Sandy, and we were lucky enough to find the floral and red dot at Daine's Cotton Shop in Murray.  This is a new Henry Glass fabric called Simply Sweet, designed by Barbara Jones for Quilt Soup.  Theses colors just scream "summer" and after the winter we have just experienced, I need a little something to brighten up my days.  Has anyone worked with this fabric?  Do you think I should pre-wash the reds?
