Believe it or not, I have something particular planned for each of these yummy fabrics.  Eventually I'll get around to using them, meanwhile I just love to look and feel.

Quilt #5!

This is the last of the quilts made out of Jake's clothes for his family.

This one is for Julie.

Each of the 20 white blocks in this quilt are from Jake's dress shirts.

The white blocks are sashed by fabrics from the Kashmir IV collection by Moda.

I also used some pieces of white shirt on the back.

The quilt measures 61 X 72 so it will be a perfect size of quilt to snuggle up with on the sofa.  It's been washed and dried on a delicate cycle in my front loading washer and drier and
is wrapped and ready to be delivered.

Giddy!

One of my next projects involves a layer cake and some yardage of Sandy Gervais' Giddy collection.
I am planning on making a full size quilt for the bed in our extra bedroom.  I'm thinking pinwheels but might change my mind.  I've been known to do that.  This collection came out several months ago but I am just getting around to making something with it.

Julie's Quilt Top!

Julie's quilt top is finally ready to quilt.

All of the white blocks in this quilt are from Jake's dress shirts.

For the sashing I used prints from the Kashmir IV collection by Sentimental Studios for Moda.

I will be quilting it this week so tune in later to see the finished results.

Watermelon Chic!

I found this cute kit at JoAnn's in Cedar City this weekend.  When I got it home I decided that I wanted the quilt to be a bit larger.

I used fabric from my stash for some of the blocks and the back and binding.

The kit came with some very cute fabrics.  I wasn't sure about quilting on chenille so I just sewed a diagonal line from corner to corner of those blocks and stippled the rest.

I used an 80/20 cotton poly batting.

After I finished binding the quilt I washed it for my favorite crinkled look.

The quilt measures 36X36 and is now ready to be given away at a baby shower this weekend.
